Our annual Camp Sunday was great fun despite the rainy weather that kept us indoors! There's nothing like gathering around the "campfire" in our cozy panabode cabin with the sound of rain drumming on on the roof, and camp hymns sung to the accompaniment of Lynley's guitar.
Our youth spent some time in "craft hut" creating "Welcome" signs in many languages to get us ready for next week's Lynn Valley Day parade, and at coffee hour we had the chance to meet Talia and Tom, Camp Artaban volunteers who joined us for the service.
In the sermon slot we were invited to use the summer season to unplug, gaze at the stars or sit in a park and let our mind wander and wonder ... what are our big or our niggling questions about God, the Universe, or the life of faith. We'll be sharing our questions and responses in the weeks to come.
Crafting continued during Coffee Hour, along with enjoying a delicious "farewell" cake and giving hugs and good wishes to Graeme, Nadine, Mackenzie and Hudson who are travelling this week to their new home in New Zealand.
