We invite you to view and listen to a new composition written especially for St Clement's by our music director and sung by members of the St Clement's congregation and community.
Lynley writes: "This is a Taizé type chant that celebrates the mystery of the Eucharist through the words of Elizabeth I. Princess Elizabeth was imprisoned by her sister, Queen Mary, on suspicion that she was plotting against her. Elizabeth was a moderate Protestant and rejected the notion of transubstantiation. In a paradoxical twist, one can read the text in any way they choose and make of the Eucharist as they are guided by the Spirit."
