Nasrullah marks one-year milestone

Fatemeh's brother Nasrullah recently celebrated his first anniversary of life in Canada, and Fatemeh sent the card above in gratitude for St. Clement's ongoing support. They are very grateful for the companionship, prayers and practical help and look forward to visiting St. Clement's once we are able to gather for social time again.

Nasrullah has done well in his 12 months here; he has passed his English course at VCC and is enrolled in Calculus and Computer Science (VCC) for September. Currently he is looking for a job but this has turned out to be quite difficult in these strange times.

 

A small committee (Dave, Philippa, Chris, Ian, Wilna) met on an as-needed basis through his sponsorship year to monitor and support decisions made around supporting him. We had a bit of extra money in the pot (even after very extensive and expensive dental work!) so are able to give him an extra month’s support. We are very grateful to Christ Church Cathedral for providing funding for his sponsorship.

We are currently waiting to hear from the Memorial United Church regarding their only surviving sister Nasrin and her family’s application for immigration to Canada. Much prayer is needed for their sponsorship.
