Benches, ramp restored

Joanne, Dave and Pepe Graham have done a huge amount of work on the church building and grounds over the past weeks, and we are hugely grateful.

We were glad to ask them to sit down for a photo, because it may be the only time they have rested over the past little while! Dave and Pepe put in some long days replacing boards, railings and spindles on the ramp, and the benches have been sanded and repainted a beautiful blue.

Dave also took this opportunity to restore the gleam to the memorial plaques on the benches. They remember two people who died in a traffic accident in 1985, at the young age of 25. Patricia and Graeme were the fiancee and best man of Edward Walker, son of a Lynn Valley family. Thank you, Dave, for restoring these plaques that we may better memorialize this sad loss.

While we are unable to host gatherings at this time, please remember that this is your church and you are welcome to stop by and bide awhile on the grounds. Bring a book, enjoy the garden, sip some coffee or have a contemplative walk in the labyrinth - there is plenty of space to spread out!
