Peggy's sermon for Lent 4: March 31, 2019

Lent is the season of the church year in which self-examination is encouraged. But as sin and hellfire have become less of a focus in our theology than they once were, have we fallen out of the habit of a good robust soul-searching? Today's lectionary readings engage us in the story of God's ready forgiveness... so let's consider what it means to accept forgiveness, and forgive ourselves as well.
